Up date on the Great Barrow Community Shop.

Good news.

After a lot of hard work and various site visits and surveys, we have been given planning permission to go ahead with the new community shop on the site of the existing pavilion.

The Post Office have also confirmed that they wish to be fully involved in this new shop from day one.

The grant applications for funds to do the construction work have all been submitted and to date the feedback is very positive. If all goes as planned then we could have a new shop, coffee shop, post office, community meeting area, sports storage area and toilets all in the same building and open this summer.
