Barrow Allotment Association (BAA)

We are a friendly, active association with a common love of gardening and growing vegetables, fruit, and flowers.

The allotments are situated on the edge of the village and are divided into full, half and quarter plot sizes, leased to both Barrow residents and those residing outside of the village. There are currently 23 separate plots. There is always a mix of experienced growers and those new to allotments who are keen to grow their own!

The BAA manages the plots on behalf of the Parish Council. Members support each other with ideas, knowledge, and hands on help. We have annual clear up days and many social events, including a summer BBQ on the allotments for members, family, and friends. This year we have encouraged residents to come and have a look round the plots by holding an open day and scarecrow competition.

We are always happy to show prospective plotholders around and talk through the joys of being down on the allotment. At present, there is a short waiting list for anyone interested in leasing an allotment plot.

Plot rental per annum:

Full £28.00

Half £14.00

Quarter £7.00
