The Barrow Buzzard Runners now meet on the Playing Field on Saturday mornings at 10am for a friendly 5K run. Ollie’s unique trail route has been designed to minimize time on the road and takes in some of the loveliest parts of the parish, using our wonderful network of footpaths. All ages and paces are welcome. Whether you fancy a gentle jog or something a bit quicker you’ll be in good company. We plan to vary the routes, with some more road running over the winter as Barrow gradually becomes more of an island than a village on a hill. The first couple of sessions have been great fun and it’s been especially good to see different family generations enjoying the run together. The first two editions of our newsletter “THE BUZZARD” will be up on the Parish web site very soon, along with some photos and we’re also keeping people up to date on the Care For Barrow WhatsApp group.
