St Bartholomew’s Church, Barrow in the Diocese of Chester.
The parish of Barrow serves the communities of Great Barrow, Little Barrow, Hollowmore Heath and
Stamford Bridge. The parish has a population of about 950 people and the Church Electoral Roll is
just over 80 people.
St Bartholomew’s is a warm, welcoming church with a service every week at 10am, a monthly
service at 8.45am, and a children’s group (Jellies) that meets in the Millennium Rooms every week
during term time at 10am.
A Bible study group meets at 1.30pm for an hour and a half each Tuesday in the Millennium Rooms. It
is led by members of the congregation. No previous knowledge of the Bible is required!
Each Wednesday at 10.30am there is a coffee morning, hosted by Richard and Janet. It is open to all
and free, although please expect to make a small donation towards costs.
We always welcome Christenings and Weddings at the church and we will support bereaved families
in the making of funeral arrangements.
