The normal complement of the Parish Council is 9, with 4 attending a meeting to be quorate. To continue, the Parish Council will have to co-opt additional volunteers. Although sometimes derided , the Parish Council can and does perform valuable work and service around the Parish, including adminstering the precept. As a former Parish Councillor with 16 years service, I think it is very disappointing that only 3 of our fellow residents put themselves forward for election. The current Chairperson, Malcolm Moulstone will largely bear the responsibility of bringing the council numbers to a workable level and deserves our support.

Please note the above is a personal observation.
