Barrow Cricket Club report

 

                                                                                  Barrow Cricket Club welcomes all!

 After five promotions in the last seven years Barrow cricket club is now one of the top 36 performing cricket teams in Cheshire and in Division 2 of the Cheshire County Cricket League.The Club also has a Saturday 2nd eleven and a Sunday third team.During the last few years the Club has made continued improvements to the Clubhouse, practise area and outfield. In the last number of years the Club has hosted Cheshire Junior fixtures and is also the home ground of Cheshire Disabled Cricket Club.

Barrow is a friendly community Club and keen to attract members from the village of Barrow. Villagers are very welcome to come down and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Barrow CC during matches on a Saturday where a full drinks service is available all afternoon

 

GREAT CRICKET TO BE WATCHED AT THE CROFT  

The first home league games of the season bring top teams to play Barrow.

Barrow C.C start off with the following first team home games:-

LEAGUE

League games start at 12.30pm

Junior coaching 5:30 to 7 every Tuesday, senior training 6-8 on Thursdays. Villagers are very welcome to come down and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Barrow CC during matches on a Saturday where a full drinks service is available all afternoon

SENIOR TRAINING/COACHING

Thursdays between 6 and 8pm.

 

JUNIOR  OUTDOOR COACHING THROUGHOUT THE SEASON FOR 8 YEAR OLDS ONWARDS

The Club’s junior section has continued to expand and all juniors from 8 to 15 years are welcome to attend at a cost of £3 per session.

Junior coaching 5:30 to 7 every Tuesday Tevenings (Weather depending) all youngsters are welcome regardless of ability or gender.

 

ALL STARS CRICKET FOR 5 to 8 YEARS OF AGE

                                                                                

We also have ALL STARS cricket for the 5 to 8 year olds.This is a new ECB national initiative and is being developed throughout England and Wales.Barrow cricket club is a registered centre.This will be held every Saturday morning from 9.30 to 10.15am, starting on Saturday 18th May 2019 and lasting 8 weeks:-

The cost is £40 per child however children who are taking part in All Stars Cricket for the first time will receive:

Barrow will also be holding out door Senior nets/coaching throughout the season every Thursday evening starting at 6.15pm from 123rd April 2019 onwards.
